The first flight

We're sitting on the plane, about an hour and a half through a six and a half hour flight. From Houston, we flew south over the Gulf of Mexico. Technically we're over Central America but at 35,000 feet all we really see are clouds. We're just crossing the southeast tip of Mexico and then will continue down over Nicaragua and Costa Rica before we head back out to sea and approach Lima from the West.

Unfortunately, sunset is on the other side of the plane... but we still got some pretty cool effects.
